BIOGRAPHY

CHRIS REDFIELD was born in manhattan, new york. at the age of nineteen, he joined the united states air force where he quickly made a name for himself as an excellent pilot and something of a prodigal marksman . the sudden death of his parents solidified chris' decision to leave the air force and return home to raise his underaged sister, claire. nonetheless, his impressive service record earned chris a place among raccoon city's elite tactical police force, SPECIAL TACTICS AND RESCUE SERVICE ( STARS ).after surviving the 1998 RACCOON CITY MANSION INCIDENT, chris began to investigate the umbrella corporation to expose its illegal biological weapons development ― the same bioweapons responsible for the death of many of his stars teammates. this crusade led him to co - found the BIOTERRORISM SECURITY ASSESSMENT ALLIANCE ( BSAA ), dedicated to stopping the development and use of bioweapons across the globe. the BSAA was reformed as a global united nations special operations unit in the early 2000s, and chris was given the title of special operations agent alongside his long - time partner, jill valentine.chris led a number of ELITE BSAA UNITS over the following decade, combating new iterations of bioweapons in foreign and domestic soil. during one such incursion in eastern europe, chris was badly beaten and developed post - traumatic amnesia from the incident. he recovered, and eventually returned to the BSAA to serve as a field captain. now the leader of the HOUND WOLF SQUAD, an increasingly distrustful chris redfield has gone rogue after recent events have brought the BSAA'S integrity into question.though it seems like an unending war, chris remains determined to eradicate bioterrorism once and for all.
